The 2015 Honda CR-Z is an affordably priced sport hybrid coupe. This year’s version features improved gas mileage and 21st-century features such as Bluetooth, Pandora, and Honda’s convenient multi-information display.

CR-Z and CR-Z EX

The Honda CR-Z comes in two trims—CR-Z and CR-Z EX—and features incredible gas mileage. Both versions of the CR-Z have a lithium-ion battery and feature Honda’s Eco Assist system for improved fuel efficiency. The 2015 Honda CR-Z features a 144-volt lithium-ion battery for improved efficiency.

With three driving modes to choose from (Normal, Sport, and ECON), you’ll never run out of ways to really push the envelope behind the wheel.

Engine and Horsepower

An inline four-cylinder engine that gets 130 horsepower and plenty of low-end torque sets the Honda CR-Z apart from the competition.

Both trims on the new Honda CR-Z feature Honda’s VTEC engine as well as front-wheel drive for improved control.

The 2015 CR-Z also has Honda’s Hill Start Assist system. Hill Assist Assist essentially provides break pressure to prevent you from backsliding and releases that same pressure when you hit the accelerator and apply torque.

Paddle shifters and a continuously variable transmission also lend a sportier feel to the Honda CR-Z.

Audio and Convenience Features

The Honda CR-Z really packs a punch when it comes to stereo quality. The CR-Z EX has a 360-watt, seven-speaker audio system with a subwoofer for extra bass response. This coupled with Pandora, Bluetooth compatibility, and a USB interface means you can listen to your favorite music anywhere anytime.

Both trims on the 2015 Honda CR-Z feature Honda’s multi-information display for even more options at your fingertips. Fuel-efficiency scoring, hands-free Bluetooth, and an exterior temperature gauge are all incorporated into the multi-information display to make your trip that much more pleasant.

In terms of convenience options, power door locks, climate control, and cruise control are standard features on both trims of this year’s CR-Z. In fact, the cruise control on the CR-Z is routed through the steering wheel–mounted controls. Audio, Bluetooth, and navigation controls are all accessible through the Honda CR-Z’s steering wheel–mounted controls for 2015.

Stunning Fuel Economy

The continuously variable transmission on the new CR-Z gets slightly better fuel economy than the six-speed manual version, but both are excellent options.

Safety Features on the CR-Z

The new CR-Z gives you a host of active and passive safety features that do justice to Honda’s commitment to safety behind the wheel.

A multi-angle rearview camera and an anti-lock braking system, for instance, are two features that make the CR-Z that much more safe. Daytime running lights, a rear defroster, and a tire pressure monitoring system further ensure the safest ride possible.

The new CR-Z also gives you side-curtain airbags and dual-stage front airbags so you are your family remain safe.
