The Honda HR-V is well-loved because of its ample interior space, advanced technology features, and affordable price point for families. From the base LX to the top level EX-L with Navigation, each trim level of the Honda HR-V offers a unique group of features that can fit an array of budgets.
That being said, there are some major differences between each trim level, so we’ve created this simple Honda HR-V trim level comparison to help you see them. Check it out below, then schedule a test drive at your local Honda dealer near Greenacres, West Palm Beach, and Boca Raton.
LX: Honda HR-V Base Trim
The safety features of the Honda HR-V really set it apart from other similar vehicles on the market today. The HR-V comes standard with a multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines, daytime running lights, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
On the exterior, the base LX trim comes with LED brake lights, body-colored power sideview mirrors, and two-speed intermittent windshield wipers. Comfort and convenience features include rear-seat heater ducts, a rear window defroster, air conditioning with air filtration, and an illuminated steering wheel with mounted controls for cruise control, phone, and audio to operate the 5-inch color LCD screen 160-watt audio system with four speakers.
EX: Honda HR-V Midlevel Trim
Starting with safety, the only difference between the 2016 Honda HR-V LX and EX trims is the rearview camera. While the base trim has guidelines, the EX offers dynamic guidelines that give you a more complete picture of what’s behind you as you’re backing up.
In terms of exterior features, this trim adds items such as heated side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, multi-reflector halogen headlights with an auto on/off feature, a one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature, and rear privacy glass. It also improves the windshield wipers to variable speed, instead of the LX’s two-speed wipers.
Inside, the EX has push button start and Honda LaneWatch for your convenience as well as automatic climate control with an electrostatic touchscreen. This HR-V version also gets heated front seats and an upgraded 7-inch display audio system with a 180-watt audio system with six speakers.
EX-L Navi: Honda HR-V Top Trim
The 2016 Honda HR-V’s top trim, the EX-L Navi, offers a few upgrades from the midlevel EX trim but is pretty close to the previous trim.
Feature upgrades include exterior roof rails, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and an automatic dimming rearview mirror. The EX-L Navi also gets steering wheel–mounted controls for the included navigation system with voice recognition and Honda HD Digital Traffic plus leather-trimmed seats.
