2019 Honda Fit Review
If you’re looking to cruise through the streets of Wellington, Greenacres, and Palm Beach in style, you need a vehicle that will turn heads no matter where you go. For some generous interior space and safety features as well, one of the best options is the new 2019 Honda Fit.
The new Honda Fit is a fun vehicle packed with features you and your family can enjoy for years to come. This car may be small, but it can make a huge impact, whether you value performance, interior space, safety, or other features. Learn everything you need to know about the 2019 Honda Fit and discover if this car is right for you.
Honda Fit Performance
This car may be small, but you’ll find an impressive amount of power under the hood. Thanks to its 1.5L 4-cylinder engine, you can enjoy 130 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. You can get the most out of your engine right from the beginning, thanks to the available Continuously Variable Transmission with sport mode. For added performance, the Sport trim offers dual-mode paddle shifters, allowing you to take complete control of your gear shifting.
Your Honda Fit MPG will be impressive whether you opt for the manual transmission or the CVT. For those of you who choose the manual transmission, you can enjoy an EPA-estimated 29 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway.1 The CVT fares even better with an EPA-estimated 33 MPG in the city and 40 MPG on the highway.1
Honda Fit Interior
You may not think there’s much interior room inside the Fit, considering how small it is, but the specs may pleasantly surprise you. In the front, you can enjoy 39.5 inches of headroom and 41.4 inches of legroom. Your rear passengers will have plenty of space as well with 37.5 inches of headroom and an impressive 39.3 inches of legroom. General legroom is just the beginning of what the 2nd-Row Magic Seat has to offer.
You can choose between four settings: utility, long, tall and refresh. Utility mode folds the rear seats down, allowing for an impressive cargo capacity in the Honda Fit. Cargo space maxes out at 52 cubic feet. Long mode folds the front passenger seat down as well to fit longer items. Tall mode removes head restraints, allowing items up to four feet tall to fit comfortably. Finally, refresh mode allows the front passenger seat to fold back, so you can sit in the back and stretch out if you need to catch a nap.
Honda Fit Safety
One of the most exciting features of the new Fit is the Honda Sensing® suite of driver assistance technologies. Not only do these systems work hard to protect you in the event of a collision, but they can help you avoid them in the first place. Arguably, the most impressive is the Collision Mitigation Braking System. Should your Fit detect an imminent collision ahead, it will send you alerts and can even apply the brakes for you.
Another impressive driver assistance system is the Lane Keeping Assist System. This handy piece of tech identifies lane markers and ensures you don’t drift out of your lane unexpectedly. It can even go so far as to edge you back into the lane center automatically.
