Honda HR-V vs. Jeep Renegade
The 2016 Honda HR-V and the Jeep Renegade are two popular options for those looking for an affordable subcompact SUV. Both vehicles have something special to offer buyers, so how will you decide between them? We’ve put together this vehicle comparison to help you out. Check it out now then schedule a test drive at Braman Honda of Palm Beach.
To begin our comparison, let’s look at the exterior of the two vehicles. The 2016 Honda HR-V has the classic crossover look and style with clean lines and a smooth overall design. The vehicle looks high quality and well designed, and it feels like a natural extension of the Honda lineup. The front of the vehicle is commanding without being too bold, and the rear is functional and free of distraction for drivers following the vehicle. Overall, the Honda HR-V is sleek, understated, and sophisticated.
On the other hand, the 2015 Jeep Renegade is a lot more stand out. The styling is bold and bright but not necessarily in a nice way. We’re used to seeing the classic Jeep styling now with the bold front grille and easily identifiable body style. However, the Renegade takes it to a whole new level, and it doesn’t come off as being the sleek and upscale vehicle we’ve come to expect from the brand. The wheels are not very sporty with their new look reminiscent of a sand dollar, and the overall look of the vehicle is just downright unappealing.
We know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, so we also took a look at the standard features offered for each vehicle. The 2016 Honda HR-V offers several exceptional features right off the bat that make the vehicle stand out.
One of those features is the standard multi-angle rearview camera. This feature is becoming standard on upscale vehicles since it’s both a safety and convenience feature highly desired among buyers. On the other hand, it’s not standard in the base model of the Renegade, so you’ll have to upgrade to get it.
The 2016 Honda HR-V also comes with a standard 5-inch color LCD touchscreen infotainment system with a USB audio interface and Bluetooth HandsFreeLink with streaming audio. Unfortunately, you’ll have to upgrade to the get a touchscreen infotainment system in the 2015 Renegade. The vehicle also doesn’t come standard with Bluetooth integration, so you’ll definitely have to make a sacrifice with the Jeep Renegade.
