2019 Honda HR-V Review

The Honda HR-V has always been a great crossover with adoring fans. Honda hasn’t made huge changes in this year’s model. Manual transmission is no longer available, but a full package of safety features has now been implemented. Also, Honda listened: one of the most requested features—a volume knob—can now be found!

The new infotainment system offers full smart device integration, and the model has adopted some of the Civic redesign features on the exterior, including LED headlights and a redesigned front grille.

Drivers in the Wellington, Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, and Palm Beach area are sure to notice the stylish look and new features in the HR-V. Check it out in our 2019 Honda HR-V review.

HR-V Performance

The HR-V comes with a 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that gives drivers 141 horsepower, plenty of power for both city and highway driving. With a CV transmission and 121 lb-ft of torque, the HR-V is no slouch when it comes to delivering all the “oomph” a driver could want while also delivering a smooth, quiet ride.

The interior is also quite spacious. A substantial 24.3 cubic feet of trunk space expands to 58.8 cubic feet once the seats are folded down. Whether you’re just carting some chairs and a cooler over to a friend’s house or traveling cross country with a load of luggage, the HR-V has you covered.

You’ll also find ample headroom and legroom in this vehicle. Drivers and front passengers will enjoy 39.5 inches of headroom coupled with 41.2 inches of legroom. Rear passengers get 38.3 inches of headroom and 39.3 inches of legroom.

Safety and Infotainment Features

With a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA¹, drivers know they’re fully protected when behind the wheel of the HR-V. In addition to a Rearview Camera, Honda has equipped this vehicle with other safety features including Honda LaneWatch™, a Passenger Side Camera System, Collision Warning Detection with Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Assistance, and Driver Drowsiness Monitoring.Of course, drivers want the newest technology available while driving, and the Honda HR-V delivers.

You’ll find a 7-inch touchscreen along with full smart device integration with the inclusion of Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™. Two USB ports and that all-important volume knob add to the technology in this car.

Don’t forget Bluetooth® capability and a 6-speaker sound system. The 2019 Honda HR-V has an impressive, wide array of safety and infotainment options.
