The Season of Lights
Once the sun starts setting earlier, it’s important to light up the night with tons of festive holiday illumination. And at the 2017 Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade, you’ll have all the sparkle and glisten you need to hold you over for a year. Operated by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, this affair gets you in the holiday spirit with decked out boats adorned with gingerbread houses, Santa Clauses, candy canes, carolers, and just about anything else you can imagine. After each boat has traversed the Intercoastal Waterway, judges will vote on which one deserves the 1st place prize of $10,000, which benefits the Toys for Tots and Little Smiles organizations. To give you the full-throttle holiday experience, you’ll also find plenty of stops with live music, tasty bites, hot chocolate, and lots more. That way, you can bring along your little ones and be sure that they’ll enjoy every minute of this event. Dotted along the path of the parade will be collection locations for Toys for Tots so that you can bring along a new, unwrapped holiday gift for a child in need. It is the season of giving, after all!
Annual Toy Drive
This year, U.S. Marine Reserves Toys for Tots has partnered with Little Smiles to make sure that every child in need receives a special present. To make the gift-giving even more exciting, Toys for Tots will have a “toy fleet” that’ll make stops at a series of docks so that you can hand over your toy. Simply wave a flashlight and volunteers will come over to collect your donation. Check out where to view this seasonal celebration and plan your day by checking out the list of locations on the website of the 2017 Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade!
