Internet departments at car dealerships have hundreds of e-mail a day. To stand out from the crowd be sure that your request is detailed and specific. Include your name, actual contact number (you may ask to be contacted by e-mail rather than by phone), and when you are expecting to purchase a vehicle (your buying time frame). This will show your serious and will result in good consideration, a good price and save time on negotiation.

What to take with you when you go shopping:

Folder to hold all the brochures and information you've gathered.
Drivers License.
Insurance Card.
Title to your trade in.
Proof of residency. (example: Utility bills)
Pay stubs.
Bags or boxes to use to transfer your belongings.
Don't forget your SunPass, garage door opener and other passes in your old car.

Bringing the Kids along:

Selecting and purchasing your new car will take a while.  You'll need to have items that occupy your child's time and keeps them happy. And best of all, bring a companion to help keep the kids busy while you explore your options and negotiate the purchase of your new vehicle.

Dependability

Honda is known for its quality, reliability and resale value.

The Honda Accord has captured the "Best Residual Value Award for the Midsize Segment" from ALG. As one of the best barometers of the quality one can expect from a vehicle, the residual value should be top-of-mind for any car shopper. James Clark from ALG states, "We continue to believe that residual value is the best metric for evaluating the overall strength of an automotive brand." With its sleek lines and mile-after-mile dependability, the Accord is an excellent choice for today and tomorrow.

Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com, the trusted automotive information resource, has honored the 2010 Accord with its Best Resale Value Award in the Mid-Size Car category. This prestigious award is given to vehicles that are expected to have the best resale value after five years of ownership.

Safety, Convenience and Comfort Features

"The 2009 Honda Accord's cavernous interior makes it easy to get in and out of the car, and finding a comfortable driving position is also a breeze thanks to a tilt-telescoping steering wheel. An eight-way power-adjustable driver seat is included in the LX-P trim, but our test car did not have lumbar support. Rear passengers will find that they have copious amounts of leg- and headroom. There was also plenty of room to install child safety seats on either side, both forward- and rear-facing."
Edmonds.com review of the 2009 Honda Accord

Edmunds.com named the Accord a 2010 "Top Recommended" vehicle. Edmunds.com noted the Accord's "[a]mple passenger space, quality fit and finish, excellent visibility, high resale value, available coupe body style." Edmunds.com was also impressed with the "sterling reputation for reliability," of the Accord, as well as its "excellent build quality and a premium look and feel that's noticeably a cut above the rival Camry's."

The 2010 Civic Sedan has received five stars (the highest rating) from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for its performance in the frontal crash test for both the driver's and front passenger's seating positions[1]. These frontal crash-safety ratings are a testament to the advanced safety engineering that comes standard on every Civic.[1] Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov).

Honda's Safety Philosophy

Honda is committed to providing safety for everyone-that means crash protection not only for our own drivers and passengers, but also for other vehicle occupants, and injury mitigation for pedestrians. We are dedicated to identifying and implementing advanced designs and features that help enhance the safety of vehicles on the road.

Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) Body Structure

The Advanced Compatibility Engineering? (ACE) body structure is a Honda exclusive body design that enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal collisions. The ACE design utilizes a network of connected structural elements to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle. This enhanced frontal crash energy management helps to reduce the forces transferred to the passenger compartment and can help to more evenly disperse the forces transferred to other vehicles in a crash.

Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA®) with Traction Control

VSA can brake individual wheels and/or reduce engine power in the event of oversteer or understeer to help regain the driver's intended path. The system also features a traction control function to help prevent wheelspin during acceleration.

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)

The anti-lock braking system (ABS) uses a special modulator to pulse the brakes to help prevent wheel lockup. This helps the driver retain steering control when braking hard. The Electronic Brake Distribution system (EBD) balances the braking forces at each wheel according to how the car is dynamically loaded.

Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS)

Airbag protection that stops deployment of the front passenger side airbag when it senses that a child or small-statured adult in the front passenger seat is in the airbags' path of deployment.

Side Curtain Airbags

Side curtain airbags for every row of every vehicle (except S2000) - Cover the side windows in a sufficiently severe collision. Our light trucks have a rollover sensor to deploy the side curtain airbags in the unlikely event of a rollover.

Pedestrian Protection

External features such as the hood, fender and windshield wiper systems are designed to help reduce pedestrian injuries.

Dual-Stage, Multiple-Threshold Front Airbags (SRS)

The vehicle is equipped with dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags (SRS). One or both of these airbags will be deployed only in the event of a sufficient frontal impact. If deployed, these airbags are capable of being inflated at different rates depending on crash severity, seatbelt usage and other factors. Frontal airbags are designed to supplement the seatbelts to help reduce the likelihood of head and upper body injuries in frontal crashes.

Seat belts are the single most effective safety device for drivers and passengers. All Honda vehicles come standard with 3-point seat belts at all seating positions.

All children are safest when seated and belted in the back seat. Infants and smaller children must be properly restrained in child seats.
