Labor Day Weekend Events in West Palm Beach

But when you’re finished with that, you might want to get out of the house and join in on some of the fun going on in the community. There are lots of events going on Labor Day weekend in and around West Palm Beach. We’ve thrown together a little roundup of four fun events for you to consider in your plans!

Save the Jaguar 5K

The Save the Jaguar 5K, presented by Sagicor, takes place this year on Saturday, September 5 from 7:30 until 10:30 am. This is the first year of this event to support the conservation efforts in South and Central America by the Palm Beach Zoo. These majestic and beautiful animals are threatened due to the loss of their habitat, among other issues.

The 5K path is beautiful and will include views of the Tiger River habitat, the fennec fox exhibit, the wallaby viewing station, ocelots, Siamang Island, and more. This event is sponsored by Sagicor, Life Insurance Company, Max Health Chiropractic, Post Race Massage, Erneston & Sons, Inc., and Post Race Fruit.

Dream Car Classic Car Show

The Dream Car Classic Car Show will take place this year in downtown Hollywood on the first Sunday of September from 10 am until 3 pm. You can register for the event from 8 until 10 am. You can find the car show entrance at 20th Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.

The event will feature classic cars, custom cars, and modern classics. The top 30 vehicles will get an award at this family-friendly event. The event is sponsored by Cobra Joe Productions, Hollywood Florida Community Redevelopment Agency, and Downtown Hollywood Business Association. Repticon

The Repticon in West Palm Beach will take place this year on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 at the Box Expo Center, 2223 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in West Palm Beach. The event, which has been occurring annual since August 2011, will take place on Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am until 4 pm. Vendors at the event will include AJN Reptiles, Beyond the Scale Reptiles, Family Reptiles, PeTown, Ready To Go Reptiles, Snakes at Sunset, TikisGeckos, and Ward’s World of Reptile Propagation.

First Saturdays North Beach Art Walk

First Saturdays North Beach Art Walk runs from 7 until 11 pm at 3354 NE 33rd Street in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The event features live painting, street vendors, strolling musicians, and more. It’s a great opportunity to check out the local art community near you. The galleries involved in this art walk include 32nd Street’s Barry Gross Gallery, the Rachel Henriques Art Studio, and the Art of Alex. This event is free to enter and is held every month on the first Saturday.
